Technical Presentation: Navigating the New Hazardous Waste Rules

Description: The new Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule (HWGIR) goes into effect on 28 May 2017 and includes over 60 changes to RCRA requirements.  Although some of the changes are minor or simple clarifications, many are significant and potentially applicable to every DoD installation that generates hazardous waste. This presentation will summarize major provisions of the new rule, highlight the most significant potential impacts, and clarify areas of the rule likely to cause compliance challenges. 

Speaker: Mr. Christopher Rua, CHMM, Project Manager in Potomac-Hudson Engineering, Inc. (PHE) South Amboy, New Jersey office with over 16 years of environmental consulting experience.
