Speaker:  Paula Miller is a legal and regulatory compliance specialist at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) who works on environmental protection matters.  Ms. Miller has 30 years of experience in environmental planning, infrastructure development and construction, including regulatory compliance for toxic chemicals, hazardous substances, and nuclear waste management.  Ms. Miller’s areas of focus include federal environmental regulatory compliance, land use and management, telecommunication and security surveillance infrastructure development, international border security, airport and air traffic environmental compliance, and military base environmental compliance. 

Description:  Ms. Miller will discuss Special Use Airspace - what it is, how it is used by the Department of Defense (DoD) and managed by the FAA, and how the DoD proponent and FAA work together as lead and cooperating agencies on developing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation to analyze impacts to airspace.
