Featured Presentation on Resiliency:

Join Michael Blose, P.E., MBA, and Justin Haynes with Straughan Environmental for an interesting discussion on storm water management, dam resiliency, and planning for the impacts of climate change!  Climate change means that storms are predicted to increase in frequency and intensity.  What does that mean for our water management infrastructure, including dams? 

Mike is Vice President at Straughan Environmmental, and has 19 years of experience in management and design of environmental, civil and water resource engineering for federal, state, local, and commercial projects. He leads a variety of projects related to stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, stream restoration, geomorphic assessments, NPDES and TMDL compliance, FEMA, Drainage, Hydrology, Structure/Stream Hydraulics, permitting, water quality, water and wastewater, and watershed management. He earned his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance at Loyola University.

Justin, also a Vice President at Straughan Environmental, grew up in the Washington, D.C. area and has over 15 years of experience. His expertise includes environmental compliance, ecological restoration, program management, project planning, and environmental monitoring. He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with an MS in Environmental Engineering and Science and James Madison University with a BS in Integrated Science and Technology.
