A small town in central Maryland has faced several challenges relating to their municipal water supply.  Topics to be covered radionuclides and water quality, and aquifer testing for water supply development.

Kathleen Mihm is a Senior Scientist at S.S. Papadopulos & Associates, Inc., located in Rockville, Maryland.  Ms. Mihm has nearly 30 years of experience in a variety of geologic investigations including the interpretation of groundwater systems, groundwater contamination, soil contamination, and water-supply.  She has been responsible for collecting, synthesizing, and analyzing geologic, hydrogeologic, and geochemical data to develop conceptual models of local and regional flow systems, assess the extent and potential impacts of groundwater contamination, to develop remediation schemes and groundwater flow and transport models, and to evaluate the effects of groundwater development on groundwater quality and supply.
