Dr. Rosa Gwinn, PFAS Technical Lead at AECOM, will discuss the current landscape of PFAS concerns and requirements from both a federal and state perspective.  She will present an overview of emerging federal programs and expectations over the coming year, including drinking water standards (MCL) and related programs (UCMR 5).  The presentation will also cover state-level requirements in the mid-Atlantic region.

Speaker Bio
Dr. Gwinn serves as AECOM’s Americas Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) Initiative Lead across environment, water, and aviation concerns.  Dr. Gwinn has provided technical and project management expertise to private and government clients for nearly 30 years. She represents AECOM’s 15+ years of direct PFAS experience sampling, testing, managing, and mitigating the presence of these emerging compounds with clients, academic partners, and government agencies. With a global practice, including over 400 PFAS project sites, AECOM has collected lessons learned for best practices planning and executing environmental field programs, creating immediate drinking water intervention solutions, and risk communication.
